The Arcademy
The Arcademy is a paid internship hosted by Arcade Studios for students interested in a career in Digital Marketing.
If the agency world is an ocean, consider this your diving lessons. Focused on experiential learning, The Arcademy offers burgeoning marketers an opportunity to build their repertoire of skills, increase knowledge and collaborate with a team. We know first-hand there’s only so much a classroom can teach you – the real lessons come while strategizing, responding and problem solving in real time.

Motion & 3D Design Intern
(Summer Term)
Location: Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC
*No remote opportunities as the program involves on-location activities
Commitment: 15-20 hours per week, April 15 - August 29, 2024
The Company:
Arcade is an award-winning digital agency specializing in strategy, content production, social media and email marketing. The Gig:
Working closely with the Art Director and creative team, the Motion & 3D Design Intern will support the development of animated and 3D social content needed for Arcade clients across all social platforms with excellence. The Motion & 3D Design Intern will collaborate with the design team day-to-day to align imagery, design, brand, and any other client visual elements to produce engaging content and facilitate brand growth as envisioned by Arcade Studios.
The Responsibilities:
Work with the Creative Director and Art Director to support with weekly animation and 3D design responsibilities (research, storyboarding, editing, animation).
Be the internal and external advocate for social media animation, motion, and 3D design by staying on top of trends.
Working with the Art Director and account managers to ensure timeliness, clarity, and quality of tasks assigned.
Contributing to brainstorming meetings and creative sessions.
Ensuring brand standards are maintained across all client deliverables.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience working with motion and/or 3D design. (Please include relevant examples in your application)
Experience with animation, 3D, and editing software & tools, both on desktop and mobile (please include what software & tools you are familiar with in your application).
Ability to create out-of-the-box concepts beyond simply following trends already widely adopted.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, for internal collaboration.
Evidence of excellent time management and ability to meet or exceed project timelines.
Bonus: Proficient in Figma and Adobe suite – namely Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Student Eligibility:
Full-time and part-time student enrolled in an accredited Canadian college or university.
Studying any discipline, at any diploma or degree level.
Resides in Vancouver, British Columbia or Calgary, Alberta for the duration of the internship.
Holds Canadian citizenship, Permanent Residency or refugee status.
Is not part of another internship program for the duration of the Arcade internship.
