Arcade is a small team with big impact and we’re looking for a hard-working, social media specialist to join our Calgary-based crew and take the lead on our social media accounts and strategies.
The Gig
Working closely with the Social Media Leads and under the direction of the Social Media Director, the Social Media Coordinator will support the development of all current social media clients and ensure that strategies are executed across social platforms with excellence. The Social Media Coordinator will support multiple brand social media channels, produce social content, attend meetings, and build the first wave of media programming for clients.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Social Media Leads to set, plan, draft and implement social media campaigns and strategies for clients including drafting content and setting up content calendars according to the set marketing strategy.
Act as the front lines of all customer service inquiries, messages, and engagement on social media platforms. Respond in a timely manner to all inquiries and communicate any urgent inquiries to the appropriate social team member.
Look for opportunities to bring excellence and innovation to every single social media engagement.
Demonstrate the highest level of customer service toward Arcade clients; convey a polished and professional demeanour with all stakeholders during day-to-day calls and emails, in-person meetings, on-site production and photoshoots, etc.
Compile and collect data for end-of-month and weekly reports that help paint a picture of the success of the social program and any opportunities to improve for the next term.
Work with the Social Media Leads and Social Media Director to problem solve, brainstorm new campaigns, and look for new ways to bring energy and higher engagement levels to social programs.
Support the Social Media Director and Social Media Leads with strategy decks and any other social media campaign deliverables as needed.
Stay abreast of ever-evolving digital behaviours, tools and trends as they pertain to social media best practices and recommendations for consideration.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations (preferred)
Experience managing social media programs for a wide variety of clients and on multiple platforms (priority platforms include Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn)
Skilled in ideating, scripting, filming, editing and publishing short-form video content (Reels/TikToks/YouTube Shorts)
Strong copywriting skills with a focus on engaging social media content
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to proof read copy and catch efforts prior to publishing
Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and balance requests from multiple stakeholders
Proven capacity for managing multiple projects, meetings, and in-person client shoots
